Don’t mind me. I’m just cleaning up the hard drive and found this.

Looking back at all those who told me Iran was sunny and warm. Where are you now you filthy animals? Hide while you can.. Had every posible scenario in the spare of just 2 days: heat, freezing temperatures, snow, rain, hail... but oh boy I miss it already. #iran

Life’s simple pleasures... Like going hands free down the hill. ~ The sun’s about to set and we’ve been cycling for a whole day across the Iranian landscape. GPS marks about 50kms. No service. No people. No towns. Absolutely nothing except the road and a few electric posts. And the beautiful mountains. And silence plenty. The type of silence that one can hear. And right in front of us. This road. It goes down hill for about 1 or 2 or maybe 5 kms (I can’t remember). I do remember the joy of not pedaling and going faster and faster. Silence disturbed by wind’s friction coming through my ears. And a few “wooho’s” and other jovial expressions from Max, Nono and I of pure adrenaline and excitement. Of course these few minutes of pure joy were followed by an uphill, at dusk, looking for a place to sleep safe from the wind and all that crap. But we choose to remember the good stuff, like going hands free down the hill.

Day 4 in Iran. In my first day cycling we already covered 60 kms through this insanely beautiful road and 40 more today. So inspired by Max and Nono. They’ve been on the road for 160 days (hence the difference in luggage size) and raised more than 50.000€. Check out @bikingborders and what they’re doing and get inspired

Excited to be back in London in a couple of days, move into my new place and all in all start fresh. Loooots of things I want to do this year. Hope I can accomplish a good amount of what I have in mind. One of which is the classic eat healthier and exercise but so far I’m failing miserably 😂

This is the sunset we had a couple of days ago in the French Alps. Coming back to the van after a long day me and my brother spotted this church. To be fair he took this one particular shot because he stayed a little longer than I so credits to @rubenminyo for standing in the cold for the team 😂🙏🏼
